Our story
Why we’re building this.
Recover is early — we’re a founder-operated team, not a large company. This is the honest version of why the product exists and who we’re building it for.
Ch. 01
The problem is quiet, and it’s well documented.
Roofing and restoration claims get underpaid all the time — not usually through fraud, but through omission. A drip edge left off an estimate. A ridge cap priced at the wrong grade. A waste factor calculated too low for the actual roof. Verisk put U.S. roof repair and replacement claim value at nearly $31 billion in 2024, up almost 30% since 2022 — and small, missed line items across thousands of estimates add up fast.

Ch. 02
Contractors don’t have time to fight for every dollar.
Running crews, sourcing materials, quoting the next job, chasing an adjuster who won’t call back — nobody in the field has spare hours to comb a 40-page estimate looking for a missing $400 line item. Even when that line item is the difference between profit and loss on the job.
Ch. 03
So we build the paperwork, and you keep the relationship.
Recover reads the carrier estimate against building code and manufacturer specs, finds what was left out, and writes the supplement with a citation behind every added line. Then it goes to you, and you submit it. We don't call your adjuster and we don't want to — that relationship is yours, and it is worth more than any single supplement.
Ch. 04
We’re early, and we’re saying so.
Claims you send in are read by a person, not fed through a finished machine. There is no bank of case studies on this site because there are not enough closed claims to fill one honestly. The founding-partner program exists because we're looking for the first contractors willing to work with us while that changes — and your first supplement is free precisely because we would rather be judged on the work than on a page of claims about it.
The invitation
Bring us your next underpaid claim. See what happens.
No card. No contract. The first supplement is free either way — including the one where we find nothing and tell you so.
