Privacy policy

Short enough to actually read.

This is the whole policy — no separate 40-page version behind it. Effective July 28, 2026. If we change it, the changes appear on this page.

What we collect

  • Contact details you give us — your name, company, email, and phone — when you send a claim or request access, a report, or a walkthrough.
  • Claim documents you send — carrier estimates, roof reports, photos, and policy pages. These can include information about a homeowner (name, address, claim number). Send only what’s needed for the claim; you’re responsible for having the right to share documents from your own claim file.
  • Basic usage data — anonymous, cookieless page analytics (no personal profiles, no cross-site tracking) so we can see which pages get visited.

How it's stored

  • Documents and claim records live in a private, access-controlled database and file store (Supabase), encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
  • Row-level security is enforced by the database on every request — anonymous visitors cannot read any claim, file, or contact record, full stop.
  • The website itself is hosted on Vercel.

Who can see it

  • The Recover team — currently founder-operated — for the sole purpose of reviewing your claim and preparing your supplement.
  • Our infrastructure vendors process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (web hosting), and Formspree (delivers the email notification when you submit a form — your contact details pass through it).
  • Nobody else. We don’t sell or rent your data, share your claim details with carriers or other contractors, or train AI models on your claim files.

Retention and deletion

  • We keep claim documents while your claim is active and for our records afterward, unless you ask us to delete them.
  • Email braydenscuffham2@gmail.com to request an export or deletion of anything you’ve sent. Deletion requests are honored promptly — removed from live systems within 30 days at most.

What Recover is — and isn't

  • Recover assists roofing and restoration contractors in preparing supplements to their own repair estimates.
  • Recover is not a public adjuster, law firm, or insurance company, and does not represent policyholders or negotiate claims on a homeowner’s behalf. Nothing on this site is legal or insurance advice.
